CASE STUDY: SEED GUIDE – GRAPHIC DESIGN
The Project
North Dakota Crop Improvement and Seed Association works towards enhancing North Dakota’s Agriculture through the production, promotion, and distribution of pure seeds. Throughout these changing times, the agricultural community needs to remain unified and strong. NDCISA is a strong, supportive group that will fight for North Dakota farmers. Their quality seeds are provided by farmers for farmers. We created a seed guide (print and online version) and pop-up banners to showcase all their varieties and give buyers the information they need at their fingertips.
THE GOAL
Design a branded seed guide that provides farmers with the information they need to select the optimal seeds for their specific operational goals. Refresh the NDCISA branding (including colors, fonts and styles) while still strongly representing their core values. Position and represent NDCISA as experts who are committed to providing quality seeds, by farmers for farmers.
THE CHALLENGES
Updating the brand style while also keeping the strong brand recognition for NDCISA. Continuing the feeling of a high-quality, dependable, and trustworthy brand. Represent NDCISA as a dealer who will create partnerships with farmers and growers in order to successfully exceed their operational goals.
OUR APPROACH
Research content content to appropriately highlight the seed varieties. Keep a strong brand identity throughout the entirety of the seed guide. Clearly define each seed variety by incorporating a mix of warm earthy color along with shades of blue that tie into the NDCISA branding. We then added it to the website as well as other sales materials such as their retractable banners.
