Agriculture Marketing Case Study
Building a Brand and Online Store for a Direct-to-Consumer Farm
Chisholm Trail Farm is a family-owned grain farm focused on growing ancient, heritage, and modern grains the right way. They use regenerative practices, skip the glyphosate, and mill their flour fresh to order so customers get real food with real flavor. No shortcuts, no unnecessary processing. Just a family that cares about the land, the food they grow, and the people who eat it.

The Challenge
A Great Product With No Way to Sell It Online
When Chisholm Trail Farm came to OpGo, they had a quality product and a loyal local following, but no way to reach customers beyond their immediate area. There was no professional brand identity, no online store, and no digital presence. They were limited to local farmers markets and word of mouth, which meant growth had a hard ceiling. They needed a brand that reflected the quality of what they produce and an online store that could handle orders without creating more work for an already busy farm team.

Our Solution
A Brand and a Storefront Built to Grow
We started with the brand, building out a visual identity that felt true to the farm's roots while looking polished enough to compete in a direct-to-consumer market. To back that brand with real visual assets, we captured aerial drone photography of the farm and fields, giving Chisholm Trail Farm a library of high-quality imagery that tells the story of the operation better than any stock photo could. From there, we built a full Shopify store organized around their product lines, with a checkout process that's simple for customers and easy for the farm team to manage on the backend. To drive traffic to the new store, we launched a social media and PR strategy built around real farm content, giving followers and the community a behind-the-scenes look at the operation and a straightforward path to purchase. We also ran awareness ads on Google and Meta to get the brand in front of new audiences during the launch and help drive early traffic to the store.
HIDDEN
We continuously track key metrics like engagement, reach, fan growth, and click-throughs. We use these insights to optimize performance and bring new ideas to your monthly check-in.
Brand Identity & Visual Design
We built a complete visual identity for Chisholm Trail Farm from the ground up, including a logo, color palette, typography, and asset guidelines. We even went as far as assisting with color choice of the building before their facility was built. The brand is designed to feel authentic to the farm's heritage while looking clean and credible across digital platforms, product packaging, storefront and marketing materials.
Shopify E-Commerce Website
We built a full Shopify store organized around Chisholm Trail Farm's product lines, making it easy for customers to browse, find what they're looking for, and check out without friction. The backend is set up to handle inventory, shipping, and payments without requiring a lot of manual work from the farm team.
Social Media Management
We managed Chisholm Trail Farm's presence on Facebook and Instagram, focusing on real farm content that builds community and drives people to the store. Consistent posting keeps the brand active and gives followers a genuine look at the people and the work behind the products.
Video Content Distribution
We created behind-the-scenes reels and easy-to-follow recipe videos designed to reach new audiences organically. These videos gave customers a real look into daily life on the farm and how to best use their products.
Social Media Training
We trained Chisholm Trail Farm on how to run their own social presence with confidence, covering what to capture, what their audience best responds to, how to read analytics, and how to write posts that sound like them. The goal was to build a system that they could carry forward on their own.
Drone Photography
We captured aerial drone photography of the Chisholm Trail Farm property and fields to use as visual assets across the website and social media. Having real, high-quality imagery of the actual farm gives the brand an authenticity that stock photos can't replicate, and it gives customers a genuine sense of the scale and care that goes into the operation.

Results
From Local Producer to Nationwide Storefront
With a real brand identity and a fully functioning online store, Chisholm Trail Farm can now reach customers well beyond their local area. The owners have a storefront that works around the clock, a social presence that builds community and drives traffic, and a brand that reflects the quality of what they produce. What was once limited to local sales now has the infrastructure to grow nationally.
